Matt is an executive coach and media consultant who has more than two decades of experience helping corporate, community and political leaders present the best version of themselves, as well as working in local and national television news and entertainment programming.
Matt Mauro has more than 20 years of experience in journalism, television and radio and has worked in local and national news and entertainment programming across the country. Most recently, Matt was an award-winning anchor and reporter at the FOX and CW stations in Denver, where he won multiple Emmys from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences/Heartland Chapter, including one for his anchoring in 2023. He was also the executive producer and host of two political programs: Colorado Point of View and Unprecedented Politics. Matt used these unedited, long-form interviews to ask elected officials and community leaders the tough questions (sometimes two or three times!) and held the powerful accountable.
In 2022, Matt helped create and launch Colorado Point of View, a weekly political program that aired on four television stations across Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. Matt’s guests included Gov. Jared Polis, Sens. Michael Bennet, John Hickenlooper and Rick Scott, Reps. Lauren Boebert, Jason Crow, Joe Neguse and Ken Buck, along with Secs. Pete Buttigieg, Xavier Becerra and Jennifer Granholm. Matt also brought together newsmakers and stakeholders from across the political spectrum to address societal issues including gun violence, school shootings, mental health, cost of living and more.
Prior to Point of View, Matt was a driving force behind Unprecedented Politics, a live weeknight program that led up to the 2020 general election. Unprecedented Politics was centered around interviews with Colorado and national newsmakers including Sens. Cory Gardner, Bernie Sanders and Chris Coons, among many others. Unprecedented Politics won an Emmy Award for political and government programming.
